Welcome to HM Orthodontics. We're your professional and friendly orthodontic practice situated at 58 Great South Road in Papatoetoe, Auckland, New Zealand.
We can be contacted during the normal business hours of Monday to Thursday from 8.30am to 5.00pm. Our three orthodontists Dr John Muir, Dr Linda Astrug Markman and Dr Manish Goyal enjoy providing expert advice for straight teeth and great smiles. We've been proudly treating generations of families for 60 years.
Our orthodontic specialists are all registered with the New Zealand Dental Council and keep up-to-date with modern methods and materials. Dr Muir works in the Papatoetoe practice three days a week.
About the practice
Dr John Muir has provided orthodontic services for the people of South Auckland since the 1960's.
Situated just north of Hunters Corner, Papatoetoe, we're a professional and friendly orthodontic practice, with plenty of parking on Great South Road.
Our orthodontists are specialists registered with the New Zealand Dental Council, who keep up-to-date with modern methods and materials.
About Dr John Muir
BDS, DOrthRCS Eng, FDSRDC Ed - Orthodontist
Dr John Muir is a specialist orthodontist and a member of:
- The New Zealand Association of Orthodontics
- The New Zealand Dental Association
- The Auckland Dental Association
- The Royal New Zealand Yacht Squadron
After graduating with a BDS degree in 1971 from Otago University, John undertook postgraduate study in orthodontics. A five-year term as a lecturer in orthodontics at Otago University preceded his joining HM specialist orthodontic practice, in Papatoetoe in 1985.
He works in Papatoetoe three days a week.
About Dr Linda Astrug Markman
Orthodontist
Dr Linda Astrug Markman graduated in 1999 from the Medical University of Sofia Bulgaria and had worked as a dentist in Bulgaria and Israel prior to obtaining her post-graduate degree in orthodontics.
She is a registered orthodontic specialist in UK, Belgium, Bulgaria and New Zealand. She is very passionate about orthodontics and especially working with young children. She considers herself very fortunate to be able to deliver great smiles to her patients.
In her private life, she enjoys time with her family, her husband and two lovely young children.
About Dr Manish Goyal
BDS, MDS (Orthodontics), PhD, MOrth RCSEd, MOrth RCPS (Glasg), FDS RCSEd, MFDS RCS (Eng) - Specialist Orthodontist
Dr Manish Goyal is a Specialist Orthodontist with over 26 years of clinical, academic and research experience. He has successfully treated thousands of patients with a wide range of orthodontic needs, from routine orthodontic care to complex multidisciplinary and orthognathic cases.
Dr Goyal holds internationally recognised specialist qualifications from the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh, the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow, and the Royal College of Surgeons of England. He has held academic appointments in orthodontics and has contributed to the profession through teaching, research and scientific publications.
With a special interest in clear aligner therapy, temporary anchorage devices (TADs), growth modification and complex orthodontic treatment, Dr Goyal is committed to providing personalised, evidence-based care tailored to each patient's individual needs.
Dr Goyal works with us three days a week and enjoys treating all ages. He believes in building lasting relationships with his patients and helping them achieve healthy, confident smiles in a caring and comfortable environment.
